Salary trends of medical technicians in the United States

Employment in the healthcare field is vastly known to be financially- rewarding. This is technically true for some medical jobs. What are medical technicians?

As allied health professionals, medical technicians are highly in demand in hospitals and clinics, whether private, state- owned or public institutions. Becoming a cardiovascular technician should start with a degree in medical technology and an associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology. Licensure and certifications can be provided by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medial Sonographers (ARDMS) among others. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, diagnostic medical sonographers and cardiovascular technicians earn a median pay of $60, 350 per year. Their average hourly rate falls between $27 and $33. It was also observed that entry- level cardiovascular technicians earn 4%–7% lesser than regular employees. A significant increase in salary is expected when they earn years of experience.
